Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup bolt whey chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 cup almond butter (or any nut butter of your choice)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to your desired sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and bolt whey chocolate protein powder. Stir them together until well combined.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the almond butter and honey (or maple syrup). Microwave for about 20-30 seconds or until the mixture becomes soft and easier to stir.
  • Pour the melted almond butter and honey mixture into the bowl with the oats and protein powder. Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  • Mix everything together until the dry ingredients are evenly coated with the wet ingredients. The mixture should be sticky and hold together when pressed.
  • Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips into the mixture.
  • Line a square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some excess paper hanging over the sides to easily lift the bars later.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Use your hands or a spatula to firmly press the mixture down to form a compact and smooth layer.
  • Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until the bars are firm and set.
  • Once the bars are chilled and firm, lift them out of the baking dish using the excess parchment paper.
  • Cut the chilled mixture into bars of your desired size and shape.
